Experienced Maintenance Technician
Maintenance Technicians are responsible for advanced maintenance and repairs of facility and industrial equipment, enhancing productivity through the installation of new machinery, designing electrical systems, programming PLCs, and documenting their activities while participating in training programs to ensure skill development and safety compliance.
Education:
- High School Diploma, or GED preferred
Experience:
- Proficient in mechanical systems, including pneumatics and hydraulics, along with electrical systems including PLCs and variable frequency drives.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with the ability to resolve equipment issues efficiently.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and adherence to workplace safety protocols.
- Welding experience is a plus, though not required.
- Previous experience in a Maintenance Mechanic or similar industrial maintenance role.
- Competent in basic computer operations, with solid math skills and the ability to write clear, detailed maintenance reports.
- 5 years Industrial Maintenance Experience.
- Ability to operate electrical testing/measuring instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret both electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Preferred working knowledge of PLC’s.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carries out responsibilities with safety and efficiency as a priority. Adheres to training guidelines, policies, and procedures while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Proactively identifies and addresses potential hazards.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on industrial equipment.
- Install, modify, and maintain machinery and systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Accurately reads blueprints, schematics, micrometers, calipers, tape measures, and wiring diagrams in making repair and adjustments.
- Performs construction, plumbing, concrete, and carpentry work to support building repairs and reconstruction projects.
- Works independently or as a team with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong self-management skills.
- Accurately completes all required paperwork and enters job-related data into computer systems.
- Operates forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment to safely and efficiently transport materials as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Responsible for creating a collaborative, safe and hazard free environment that is driven by employee involvement. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to leading departmental continuous improvement projects, supporting and executing all safety and health policies and programs, employee training and incident investigations.
