Education and Special Projects Coordinator (Part-Time 20-25hrs/wk, Hourly Pay)

The individual in this role will act as a liaison with our Kennedy Center Partners in Education (Lancaster County School District and the City of Lancaster), is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with all rostered teaching artists and serving as the point of contact for certifications, training, and professional development opportunities. This position is also responsible for the planning and implementation of our legacy program, Summer Arts & Sciences Camp. Additionally, this individual should support capacity building and arts in lifelong learning programs and services by working directly with stakeholders and beneficiaries.

Essential Functions
● Lead the planning and implementation of Summer Arts & Sciences Camp, including recruiting teachers & volunteers, coordinating supplies, and managing the day to day operations of camp locations.
● Develop relationships with community artists, organizations, businesses,and schools in support of teaching artist residencies.
● Serve as the lead for the Creative Tuesdays program by scheduling teaching artists, budgeting, on-site class management, scheduling facility space with community partners, and working with Marketing to develop appropriate collateral.
● Think and act strategically to help build a pipeline of future teaching artists throughout the county; diverse in demographics and artistic discipline.
● Coordinate, plan, and implement quarterly professional development opportunities for local artists.
● Collect and maintain data to assist in the grant reporting process, articulating programmatic elements necessary for successful applications and reports.
● Build and maintain a database of local artists.
● Carry out special projects, as requested by the Executive Director.
● Attend and/or assist in the facilitation of all LCCA events.
● Assist staff with office operations.
