(Day 2) Skills for Success: YPs & Students Shaping the Workforce

Join us for an engaging two-day event designed to connect Young Professionals and USCL students in meaningful discussions about essential career competencies.

Hosted as a series of interactive roundtables, this event offers a unique opportunity for YPs to mentor local students and exchange insights on the critical skills needed for today’s and tomorrow’s workforce. 

This is more than just a networking event—it's a collaborative learning experience aimed at preparing current and future workforce leaders to excel in their careers. 

Event Structure:

The event is divided into two sessions, each focused on four of the eight National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) Career Competencies:

• Day 1 Topics:

  • Career & Self Development: Cultivating personal growth and lifelong learning.

  • Communication: Mastering effective verbal and written communication.

  • Critical Thinking: Enhancing problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Equity & Inclusion: Promoting diversity, inclusion, and belonging in the workplace.

• Day 2 Topics:

  • Leadership: Inspiring and guiding others toward shared goals.

  • Professionalism: Demonstrating responsibility, work ethic, and integrity.

  • Teamwork: Collaborating effectively to achieve common objectives.

  • Technology: Leveraging digital tools and adapting to technological advancements.
