DESCRIPTION:Join us as we welcome guest speaker Robin Ghent\, Director of Lancaster County Veterans Affairs.  She will share information on how her offices assist Veterans and their family members\, as well as the Lancaster County Veterans Council. \n\n\n\nMrs. Ghent has worked in the Lancaster County Veterans Affairs office for 15 years. She has been the Director for the last 10 years.\n\n \n\nSince starting this career journey over 15 years ago\, she has served on numerous boards at the County\, State\, and National level. Most notably from 2014 to 2016\, she was the President of the South Carolina Association of County Veterans Affairs Officers (SCACVAO). Currently she is serving as Chairman of the Conference Committee and on the Legislative team of SCACVAO. She is a Board Member of the South Carolina Veterans Trust Fund and Public Relations Chairman. She is Vice-President of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 31.\n\n\n\nRobin has received numerous awards to include 2018 South Carolina Veteran Affairs Director of the year.\n\n \n\nShe is an Accredited Representative of the South Carolina Division of Veterans Affairs\, The National Association of County Veteran Affairs Officer\, The American Legion\, The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).\n\n \n\nRobin lives in Lancaster with her husband Michael and their two children\, Gracie 17\, who will be attending Lander University in the fall and Brodie 12.
